One-time email

A one-time email is for the single message you actually care about: the code, the link, the confirmation. MailboxTemp gives you an address built for exactly one job, then designed to disappear.

What is one-time email?

A one-time email is a disposable address used for a single transaction — typically receiving one verification message — after which it's no longer needed and expires.

A real example

Activating an account you'll use through a different method afterward (an app login, say) often needs just one email. A one-time address handles that and bows out.

How one-time email works on MailboxTemp

  1. No setup: the one-time email address appears on arrival.
  2. Paste it into the signup or download form.
  3. Read incoming mail straight in the browser; codes are detected for one-tap copying.
  4. Let the clock run out and the whole inbox self-destructs.

Good to know

Grab whatever you came for immediately — a one-time inbox isn't meant to be revisited.

Frequently asked questions

Is one-time email really free?

Yes — creating a one-time email inbox and receiving mail costs nothing and needs no account. Optional Pro features (longer life, custom address, no ads) are the only paid extras.

How long does it last?

Free inboxes live for one hour and can be extended in 10-minute steps; Pro inboxes last 24 hours. At expiry the address and every message are permanently deleted.

Can I receive verification codes and OTPs?

Yes. MailboxTemp detects one-time codes in incoming mail automatically and surfaces them at the top of the inbox so you can copy them in a tap.
