What is online inbox?

An online inbox is a web-based mailbox you access from any browser. Here it's also temporary: it appears instantly, receives mail in real time, and expires on its own.

A real example

On a shared or public computer, an online temporary inbox lets you catch a verification email without ever signing into your personal account on that machine.

How online inbox works on MailboxTemp

  1. Land on the page — your online inbox inbox is already generated.
  2. Hit copy, then drop the address wherever it's needed.
  3. Watch in real time as mail lands; verification codes are highlighted automatically.
  4. Walk away — expiry wipes everything for you, no cleanup needed.

Good to know

Because it's online and live, you can watch a code arrive in real time — handy when a site says "we just sent you an email."

Frequently asked questions

Is online inbox really free?

Yes — creating a online inbox inbox and receiving mail costs nothing and needs no account. Optional Pro features (longer life, custom address, no ads) are the only paid extras.

How long does it last?

Free inboxes live for one hour and can be extended in 10-minute steps; Pro inboxes last 24 hours. At expiry the address and every message are permanently deleted.

Can I receive verification codes and OTPs?

Yes. MailboxTemp detects one-time codes in incoming mail automatically and surfaces them at the top of the inbox so you can copy them in a tap.
